Delivery Drone

What: Capstone Project for NASA Community College Aerospace Scholars (NCAS) Program at NASA Armstrong Flight Research Center (AFRC). Developed an innovative solution for the Consumer Goods and Services sector by utilizing Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) technology.

How: Collaborated in a cross-functional team of 10 to brainstorm and design a delivery drone while maintaining a positive public perception. As the Mechanical Engineer, I designed a working prototype of our drone in Fusion 360, integrating toroidal propellers and a rechargeable battery.

Why: AAM revolutionizes the delivery of consumer goods and services by significantly reducing delivery times. With AAM, products can be efficiently transported to consumers much faster than traditional methods, enhancing customer satisfaction and reducing transportation costs.

Results: At the culmination of this 3-week project, my team pitched our Drone Prototype to NASA engineers, receiving valuable feedback. Refined skills in collaboration and rapid prototyping.
